Our educational philosophy is based on providing a blend of the best of Western and Libyan educational practice.
Our curriculum features comprehensive study in both English and Arabic, supplemented by French, right from Kindergarten through Grade 5.
Our core courses also include Mathematics, Science, and Canadian Social Studies, along with Libyan History, Culture, and Religion.
Other courses in the program include Art, Music, Physical Education, and ICT.
Our students are primarily Libyan nationals, with some international students from different nationalities, including Canada. Our students enter CAL with varied English abilities, ranging from beginning to intermediate.
We take particular care to provide a safe environment where children are free to develop their individual voice and creativity. CAL strives to maintain class sizes between 10-15 students, and a teacher student ratio between 1:5 to 1:10, ensuring that all larger class sizes have both a teacher and assistant. The CAL school day runs from 8:00am to 2:15pm, Sunday through Thursday.
“We are very thankful and appreciative of all parents who supported us through this entire process.”
